What a day we had! My morph scan was booked for 11:20am, Kenneth called me from work @ 10am to tell me that his boss wouldn’t let him leave work to come to the appointment we were both so sad and annoyed. I really felt bad for him as I knew how I would feel if the tables were turned . Poor darling kept saying how sorry he was, but I kept telling him it wasn’t his fault and that he had nothing to say sorry for. Then I realized that I would need someone to come with me to watch Chausiku while I had the scan. Kenneth suggested that I collect Kaylah from school, so I rushed to get myself and Chausiku ready and then I went to Kaylah’s school to pull her out for the rest of the day. I can tell you, it’s not easy walking any distance with a full bladder! When we get to the hospital I realize that my ‘pregnesia’ has bitten me once again and I’ve left the OB’s refferal letter on the front of the fridge. Bless Kaylah, she raced back home to collect it for me . The sonographer was wonderful, he let Kaylah and Chausiku come into the scanning room with me so that they weren’t alone in the waiting room. As you can imagine, Kaylah was amazed at watching bub on the screen. Technology is incredible! We got to see this little baby’s lips, nose, nostrils, and cheeks. I could see the little mouth opening and closing, it was so awesome. Bub was holding his/her little hands together and we watched him/her moving the little fingers. He/she was laying with his/her ankles crossed and the sonographer took a cute picture of the little feet for us to take home to show Kenneth. He also gave us a picture of the hands and a profile picture of the head. He showed us absolutely EVERYTHING! We watched the blood pumping from the heart for quite a while to make sure everything was working as it should. Then he showed me our baby’s little ‘bits’ and told us what I am cooking but I’m not going to tell you yet, so you have to be patient and keep guessing.
He said that the only things he was concerned about it that the baby seems to be smaller than he/she should be, and there’s an issue with the placenta. He wouldn’t go into details about the placenta, but said that my OB would tell me more at my next appointment. So we have to wait until next week to find out more. I’m refusing to worry about it, because no matter what happens there is absolutely NO way that I would ever terminate, NO way! I’m sorry if I offend anyone, but I am totally against abortion, no matter what the reason. It’s one of the things in life that messes with my head and heart the most. I’ll go to my grave never understanding how anyone could do that. It’s never an answer to the situation.
Sorry to get a bit off track there.
Anyway, when we got home I sent Kenneth an sms to tell him that I couldn’t possibly tell him what I’m cooking until he got home. He phoned during his lunch break to plead with me to tell him, so I caved and told him. I just felt so bad that he’d missed out. Of course we are both very excited, and I am finally starting to feel that this is really happening, especially after watching this dear little miracle moving around on the screen. It’s rather overwhelming to already be so in love with someone, and to realize that you’re finally exactly where you want to be in life. Thank you God!
I hope you’re all doing really well. Thanks so much for reading our exciting news and sharing this journey with us. I’m hoping to add some photo’s here soon, you’ll all be amazed at how much Chausiku has grown! I love that little girl so much! My heart just melts over my family. I am so blessed.
I thought it would be a fun idea to start up a poll to allow you all to have a guess at what gender you think our next little bundle will be. Of course this means that I’m not going to tell you all when or if we find out for sure, so you’ll have to wait until bub’s is born.
So go ahead and have a guess, you can leave a message telling us what your guess was, but you don’t have to. Remember this is just for some fun.
Just another little graphic for your website or blog – I hope you like her.
If you would like your name added to it, just leave me a message here with your details and I’ll see what I can do for you!

Please remember to read the TOU, thanks.
Hello to all my dear, sweet loyal readers & friends, I have a confession to make, I have been BURSTING to come here online to give this update, but I knew there were some family members that had to be told first, or else I would be in trouble if they had found out through this blog instead of hearing it from us personally – I hope you all understand.
Actually, I have several things to update you all on, but the first thing I want to tell you all is that I am pregnant again!! Try not to let your jaws hit the floor!! Yes Chausiku is only 9mths old, and I am approx 19wks pregnant now, so she will only be 14mths old when the next one is born. It does sound scarey, a little, but also very exciting!! I just can’t believe it. I mean, of course it was planned, but to know it’s actually happened are two different things! I am booked to have an ultrasound on Friday @ 11:20am and we’re planning to find out whether it will be a blue bundle or another pink bundle. Maaaaybe I will come here and tell you all – so keep your fingers crossed for that bit of news!
Another huge event that happened here is that Matthew has moved out of home – can you hear me crying!? I am feeling so very confused and hurt and angry over the way it happened, and for what continues to be happening, but I just can’t bring myself to blab it all out here, not just yet anyway.
Kaylah has been booked for another appointment with the specialist in April 2009. It’s been explained to use that the tumor is not cancerous yet, and that it’s too early to remove it due to the bone still growing. To remove it now would cause her leg to become deformed and make walking a difficult task. Dear girl is being very brave. The tumor will definatley be removed as soon as it can safely be done, as to leave it there will increase the chance of it becoming a cancer.
Chausiku is on the move and there’s no stopping her now!! She is crawling everywhere and she now pulls herself up to stand and walks around holding the furniture. It’s so cute to watch because she’s so small! She has two teeth which are about to come through, finally. Poor doll has been teething for what seems like forever! She chatters non-stop, and now offers us her dummy. She loves books and likes to point at the pictures while you tell her what they are. She hasn’t been well for the past few weeks, she’s on her second course of antibiotics and I don’t think it’s doing her any good. Maybe we should try for a herbal solution next..?
I really should stop here so I can try to pop in on some of your blogs to catch up, while Chausiku is sleeping.
I’m hoping (fingers crossed again!) to add some Christmas goodies for you all to use on your blogs/websites, here’s hoping I find the time to do that real soon, hopefully before Christmas!!
I’m so sorry once again for being absent from this blog for so long. I’m sorry to all who have been popping in to see if I have any new freebies, which I am hoping to have some for you in the near future.
Things have been very chaotic lately, and I have no idea where to begin to give you all an insight into the situation.
Our biggest concern at the moment is with our sweet daughter, Kaylah. She was recently sent off for an x-ray of her knee to see what has been causing her so much pain, and it is from this x-ray that she is found to have a bone tumor that is protruding from under her knee cap. She now has an appointment to see a specialist to see if she requires surgery. As you can imagine, she is very nervous and has shed a few tears from fear, poor angel. I am trying my hardest to keep her spirits high, and encouraging her to hand this all over to God in prayer. He is her biggest hope.
Chausiku is still the most placid little doll you could imagine. Her routine has changed and she is now having two sleeps during the day, both for periods of up to 2hrs each, and sleeping up to 12hrs each night. She’s still as foodeous as ever! She can now raise herself up onto her hands and knees and do a cute little jig, so it won’t be long until she’s crawling! She is also now able to sit on her own, which she loves to do while surrounded by her toys.
Matthew is still, well, how do I say it..? Giving me grey hair!
Kenneth & I are stronger than ever He is my best friend, and more than I could have ever hoped for.
Oops, I hear Chausiku stirring now, so I will end here and hope to catch up with you all very soon.

1 John 4:7-8
Dear friends, let us love on another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.
